A Marvellous Message

Sometimes the simpler, the better

“Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is a classic American creed.

It would be easy to counter with the response that the only certainties in life are death and taxes.

Seeing KT Tunstall back on our screens this week, reminded me of my primary school days. The successful singer, arguably the most famous St Andrean of modern times, went to the same primary school, though had left before I started.

One song we used to sing often in assemblies, which really does have such a fantastic message to children to keep travelling amid the good and bad of life, is “One More Step Along the World, I Go”:

Sometimes the simplest messages really are the most important ones, such as Keep Right on till the End of the Road.
