Another Regal Ancestor Revealed
According to the ever-reliable Richard Swettenham, my distant cousin who is very good at genealogy, I am the 16th great grandson of King James I of Scotland.
This discovery pleases me as King James I is one of the characters in the annual historical Kate Kennedy procession through the streets of St Andrews every year.
Next year will be the 100th procession and it was great to have the chance to speak to the current club President Will Press about his ambitious plans for April.
